Hiring Process / Fees

I have found that a one time up front flat fee is much easier on the average consumer than charging an hourly rate that can spin out of control should the case become extremely litigation intensive or go to trial. Accordingly, most cases are handled for a flat fee of somewhere between $750.00 - $1,500.00, with the majority falling into the $1,000.00 - $1,250.00 range. The flat fee covers everything through trial. The fee may be paid out over a reasonable period of time. Should we uncover violations of the Texas Debt Collection Act, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, or the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, we will discuss filing the appropriate counter and/or derivative claims as warranted.

Once we have had the chance to visit, I will ask that you either fax or scan and email me a copy of the lawsuit that you have been served with. After reviewing the suit and taking into consideration all relevant factors, I will quote you my flat fee for defending your case.
